The Medical Journal of Psychiatry and Neurosurgery is an Indonesian journal that collaborates with the Faculty of Medicine, Maranatha Christian University as the Guarantor of Publication Quality. This journal serves as a platform for researchers, clinicians, and medical professionals to share their knowledge, research findings, and innovations in the fields of psychiatry and neurosurgery.
The journal covers a wide range of topics, including psychotherapy, psychoactive medication, neuroimaging, and neurophysiological techniques. It also explores various branches of psychiatry such as addiction psychiatry, biological psychiatry, child and adolescent psychiatry, community psychiatry, forensic psychiatry, liaison psychiatry, military psychiatry, neuropsychiatry, and social psychiatry. Additionally, research on psychiatric and medical genetics, diagnosis and treatment of mental health disorders, education and ethics of psychology, as well as applied and experimental psychology are within its scope.
In the field of neurosurgery, the journal highlights studies related to general neurosurgery, epilepsy, neuro-endoscopy, spine surgery, peripheral nerves, pediatric and adult neurosurgery, craniofacial anomalies, and pain management research. It also includes insights into neuropsychology and its techniques, counseling, and comparative psychology to bridge the connection between mental health and neurological disorders.
