Peer Review Process
Peer Reviewer Process
The The International Medical Journal of Orthopaedic and Traumatology follows a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality and integrity of the published research. Below is the overview of the peer review process:
-
Submission: Authors submit their manuscripts through the journal's online submission system.
-
Initial Check: The editorial team reviews the submission for completeness, relevance, and adherence to journal guidelines.
-
Double-Blind Review:
- The manuscript is anonymized, and reviewers’ identities are kept confidential from the authors.
- Two or more independent reviewers with relevant expertise are assigned to assess the manuscript.
- Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on originality, methodology, significance, and clarity of presentation.
-
Reviewer Feedback:
- Reviewers provide constructive feedback and recommend one of the following: accept, minor revisions, major revisions, or reject.
- The editorial team compiles these recommendations.
-
Decision: Based on the reviewers' feedback, the editor makes the final decision:
- Accept: The manuscript is accepted with or without minor revisions.
- Revise: Authors are asked to revise and resubmit their manuscript according to the reviewers’ comments.
- Reject: The manuscript is not suitable for publication.
-
Revisions (if applicable): Authors revise the manuscript and resubmit it for further review. In some cases, the revised manuscript is sent back to the original reviewers for confirmation.
-
Final Decision and Publication: Once the manuscript meets the reviewers' and editor’s standards, it is accepted and moves to the final stages of publication.
This process ensures high-quality research is published in a fair, unbiased, and transparent manner.
